Patrol is the backbone of the Henderson Police Department. As a patrol officer, you take on various roles, not just as a first responder. You have the opportunity to investigate your own cases, write warrants, and follow them through.
SWAT Team
Our SWAT Team comprises elite, rigorously trained professionals equipped to swiftly address high-risk scenarios such as hostage rescues, armed barricades, and counter-terrorism operations. Their unwavering courage and specialized skills are instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient resolution of critical incidents.
K9 Unit
Our K9 Unit expertly trains police dogs and dedicated handlers, collaborating seamlessly to sniff out drugs, find missing persons, and apprehend suspects. These canine officers stand as indispensable allies to both our department and the community.
Traffic Division
The Traffic Division is responsible for enforcing traffic laws, investigating accidents, and promoting road safety. Their efforts are key to reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities and ensuring that our roads are safe for all users.
Investigations Bureau

Corrections
Corrections provide security within the Detention Center by providing direct supervision of inmates. They oversee and monitor their activities within a module or assigned area.
