Our History
The Henderson Police Department was established in 1953, shortly after the incorporation of the city. Since then, we have grown from a small-town force into a modern, technologically advanced department with over 400 sworn officers and civilian staff. Our history is a testament to our dedication to the community and our commitment to progress.
Our Leadership
The Henderson Police Department is guided by a devoted team of professionals dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of law enforcement and public service. Our leadership cadre comprises:
– Chief of Police: Hollie Chadwick, who provides overarching direction and leadership, ensuring the fulfillment of our mission and values.
– Deputy Chiefs: Jonathan Boucher, Eric Buck, and Itzhak Henn, who oversee different divisions such as Patrol, Investigations, and Support Services.
– Captains, Lieutenants, and Sergeants: These committed leaders supervise our personnel, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
Our leadership team is committed to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring that the Henderson Police Department remains a model of excellence in law enforcement.
Our Community
The City of Henderson is the second-largest city in Nevada, with over 336,000 residents. It is located just a few minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip. CALEA ACCREDITED
The Henderson Police Department is a fully accredited agency with The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®), the Gold Standard in Public Safety. HPD has been accredited since March 23rd, 2022 and our communications center has been accredited since November 21st, 2015. The HPD Crime Lab has been accredited since 2016.
